As it became known recently, in March of this year, the Central Bank of Russia increased the state’s gold reserves by another 600,000 ounces. Since the beginning of the current 2019, Russia's gold reserves have already increased by 56 tons.
The Bank of Russia published data on the country's international reserves as of the end of March 2019. It follows from them that the Central Bank of the Russian Federation bought 600,000 ounces of yellow precious metal for international reserves, which corresponds to 18.66 tons.
At the moment, Russia's gold reserves are 69.7 million ounces, which is 2,167.91 tons. Worth about 90.01 billion US dollars. In total, from the beginning of this year, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation increased Russia's gold reserves by 1.8 million ounces, which corresponds to 55.98 tons.
The total international reserves of Russia currently amount to 487.80 billion dollars. Compared with February, they grew by + 1% or 5.19 billion dollars. The share of gold in them is now 18.4%.
